Ebe Festival: Okene Administrator Meets with Custodians of Masquerades, Stakeholders

-Towards a hitch-free celebration of Ebe Festival in Okene Local Government, the Administrator of the Council, Abdulrazaq Muhammad on Tuesday met with custodians of masquerades and relevant stakeholders.

Ebe Festival is an annual Ebira cultural music outing by performing night masquerades, celebrated by zoning across districts.

The meeting according to the Okene boss, was convened to remind all participants of the security situation in the local government which he described as volatile.
He emphasized the need for all to thread with caution, and ensure a peaceful celebration.


“We take the security of the people very serious and we will stop at nothing to ensure the people are safe and secured, therefore, all masquerade custodian will sign an undertaking to follow all the guidelines set by government,” he said.
The stakeholders who commended the strides of the Administrator promised to be law abiding, but also appealed for the deployment of security logistics during the festival.
