–Hon Jethro Funsho Oni meets with Kabba/Bunu APC youth and women leaders to declare his intention to run for House of Representatives in 2019.
Hon Jethro Funsho Oni A.K.A Chop chop on Sunday 18th March , 2018 met with the Kabba/Bunu APC youth and women leaders at Solid Rock Hotel, Kabba . In attendance are the Kabba/Bunu local government youth leader, Hon. Kola Toluhi, Kabba/ Bunu APC women leader, Mrs. Grace Obamoh, the Chairman of Okedayo ward, who also doubles as the chairman of all ward chairmen, Mr. Simon Ajayi; Hon Adetayo Beatrice,with the various local government youth and women leaders;among others.
Hon Jethro Funsho Oni in his opening remarks thanked everybody in attendance for honouring his invitation after which he declared his intention to contest for the Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives seat in 2019. He sought the support of those present for his candidacy and in his words he said “I am the man for the job with a wealth of experience in legislative matter as a former Member, Kogi state House of Assembly’
He explained further that during his time at the State Assembly, he empowered the less privileged by providing several item which include sewing machines and motorbikes among others. He equally stated that he used his connection with the then state government to facilitate the establishment of Kogi State College of Education (Technical) at Kabba and promised not to disappoint them if given the support to get to the Green Chambers.
Each youth and women leader took turn to give their remarks,and thanked him for deeming it fit to invite them to make known his intentions to vie for the House of Representatives seat in the 2019 election, and promised to give him the necessary support to make his aspirations come through. They also appealed to him not to forget the party excos when he gets to the green chambers.
In his closing remarks ,Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni thanked them for honouring his invitation, and promised not to disappoint them if given the support and opportunity to represent them, he also wished them a safe trip back to there respective destinations.
Various supporters of Hon. Jethro Funsho Oni across Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency were also around to grace the occasion and show solidarity support..
