Ibrahim is also a chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajaokuta local government council.
When our reporter went round the area at the weekend, Ibrahim’s 5 billboards had been destroyed. His posters were either torn or defaced at PYN, and Dunamis Church junction in Ajaokuta.
When contacted, residence alleged that the incident occurred few days after Hon. Ibrahim commissioned the BSO office, located at Lokongoma, in Lokoja.
While explaining, the Director of Communication and Strategy of Ibrahim’s campaign organization, Salihu Dauda, told our correspondent that some youths suspected to have been sponsored by political opponents destroyed their campaign billboards in the area.
Dauda described the incident as unfortunate and called on politicians to avoid such ‘primitive’ manner of playing politics.
He called on their political supporters to remain calm, adding that the campaign team is on ground and not bothered by such actions.
Dauda who said his principal was not in the race for selfish reasons, but to give the people the dividends of democracy lamented that what happened was a bad precedent in Ajaokuta politics.
